The primary of these three bodies is to spearhead the ongoing development of the highest possible professional standards in these disciplines, towards facilitating collaborations and increasing job creation, economic impact and foreign earnings potential for the continent, and positioning Africa amongst the global leaders in these fields.
Our Objectives
To increase Africa’s share of the global Orange (creative industries) Economy through connecting, capacitating and catalysing the sector for growth:
Connect
Unify the continent’s creatives and stakeholders to encourage networking, knowledge- sharing, collaboration, intercontinental cooperation and partnerships with organisations committed to advancing the sector.
Capacitate
Professionalise, upskill and empower the sector through certified courses, webinars, masterclasses, conferences, industry body development, small business support, ongoing communications, and access to a comprehensive knowledge repository and research.
Catalyse
Promote and advocate for the sector towards enabling policy frameworks and unlocking opportunities and investment to support the growth and global market share of Africa’s creative economy.
The Structure of FACE
Federation of African Creative Economies President’s Council
Steering Committee
The steering committee will comprise members nominated and elected from amongst the African Creative Economies Confederation’s member organisations across the continent. The Steering Committee will elect a chair and vice-chair who will serve three-year terms. The Committee will chart the strategic direction of the organisation, identify needs and opportunities, develop plans and programmes, drive membership and represent the organisation at a country and continental level, alongside the President. The Steering Committee will meet quarterly and have additional ad hoc meetings as needed.

Each subcommittee will be headed by a member of the Steering Committee and may comprise ordinary members and external subject matter experts.

Dedicated to addressing skills enhancement in creative industries organisations and their members working throughout the various sub-sectors, this committee identifies and prioritises training needs and opportunities.

Publishing
Drive the organisations’ communications including the quarterly newsletter, newsflashes, website and social media content to deliver ongoing value and up-to-date information and opportunities to members

Implementing all activities and activations to support these organisations objectives, including webinars, seminars, the annual conference, networking sessions, participation in and activations at industry-focused events and trade shows across the continent

Add value to members and partner organisations by conducting our own or partnering with country industry bodies and governments, academics and development agencies to map the continent’s creative economies, strengthen its business case and identify areas of strength and weakness to inform policies and programmes
